I’m Chantal the founder of “herprettybravesoul.com”
I’m somewhere in my twenties, but probably closer to my thirties.
Woah, I can’t believe I’m saying this.
What I love:
Traveling, saving money while making great deals, diet coke, chocolate, when women support women, spending time with my grandma, the ocean and pizza. Not necessarily in that order, however. Sometimes I like chocolate the most.
During some confusing teenage years when you are supposed to know exactly WHAT you are going to do in the future, I ended up becoming a commercial assistant focusing on foreign languages.
Even though I was already struggling with business management classes, I decided enroll to get my bachelors degree in tourism management. Not really knowing what I was doing exactly. Yeah, it was a mistake. A big…..big mistake. I think the only reason I decided to enroll was because I felt like it’s something I HAD to do.
I never really followed my own dream. I did what others expected.
Oh, you feel the same way, too?
Well guess what:
I never received my bachelors degree.
Instead I ended up packing my suitcase to explore NYC and California for four weeks. On my own. And it was the best decision I have made in a long time.
What I always knew was, that one day I wanted to be my own boss.
I don’t want a 9-5 job. I don’t even want an 8-6 job. Thanks, Germany.
I want to be free. I want to have something I can call my own.
That’s when I came up with herprettybravesoul
herprettybravesoul is still in it’s finding phase.
I literally created this on a free wekend while sitting on the floor in my favorite pj’s. Not knowing how to start a self-hosted blog and what it actually meant owning a self-hosted blog.
But right now you will find anything from travel tips,
fashion on a budget, mental health since that’s more important than fashion, DIY stuff I find interesting, some self-love for some self-care and tips on how to start a successful blog yourself. I’m also sure you will find other off-topic posts but that’s just the joy of having a blog while finding out what this is all about. Life is a learning process and so is this right here.
I will be more than happy if you tag along and hang out on my blog with me!
